Day 1: Arrival in Paro First Flight Over the Kingdom
Touch down in Paro and get introduced to the adventure ahead. After a short briefing and safety orientation, experience your first tandem paragliding flight with a certified pilot. Soar above the iconic Paro Dzong, riverbeds, rice terraces, and temples a breathtaking welcome to Bhutan. Evening at leisure.
Day 2: Scenic Drive to Haa Entering the Hidden Valley
Journey westward via Chele La Pass, Bhutan’s highest motorable road (3,988m), to reach Haa Valley remote, pristine, and wrapped in legends. Explore local shrines and meet the community preparing for your trek. Overnight in a village homestay with organic highland cuisine.
Day 3: Trek to Nomad Camp & Archery Games
Begin your trek into the highlands of Haa, following ancient yak trails through forested ridges and wildflower meadows. Arrive at a nomadic herder’s camp in the afternoon. Join the locals for a session of traditional archery and yak herder games, followed by butter tea around the fire. Overnight in tents under the stars.
Day 4: Highland Immersion & Butter Tea Ceremony
Wake up to the sound of grazing yaks. Enjoy a cultural exchange with nomadic women preparing cheese and yarn. Participate in a butter tea ceremony in the open pastures, followed by a hike to a nearby meditation hut used by traveling monks. Return to your basecamp for a second night in the wild.
Day 5: Journey to Ura Heart of Highland Culture
Travel east to the charming valley of Ura in Bumthang, one of Bhutan’s highest and oldest villages. En route, take short walks to mountain lookouts and enjoy alpine views. Upon arrival, explore Ura Lhakhang and share an intimate farewell dinner with local storytellers who share myths of sky beings and flying warriors.
Day 6: Departure via Bumthang or Paro
Depending on your travel plans, you’ll either fly out from Bumthang Airport or return by road to Paro. Carry home the spirit of the skies and the strength of the highland paths a true Sky Warrior experience.
