Day 1: Arrival in Paro – First Glimpse of Bhutan

Arrive at Paro International Airport, where the crisp mountain air and warm smiles greet you. After check in, take a relaxed stroll through Paro town. Visit local artisan shops, chat with villagers, and enjoy a traditional welcome dinner with your guide who will introduce you to the cultural philosophy of Bhutan.

Day 2: Paro – Spiritual Heritage & Local Life

Begin with a visit to the magnificent Paro Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum, showcasing centuries of Bhutanese art and artifacts. In the afternoon, drive to a nearby village to meet a local weaving family, where you’ll witness the intricate process of traditional textile making. End the day with a butter lamp offering at Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in the country.

Day 3: Haa Valley – Into the Hidden Heartland

Drive across Chele La Pass (3,988m) to the pristine Haa Valley. This secluded valley remains largely untouched by modern development. Visit small hamlets, stop by a local nunnery, and meet elders who’ll share oral histories and folk tales. Spend the night at a traditional farmhouse, dining with the host family.

Day 4: Haa – Village Life Immersion

Wake up to the calm rhythms of village life. Join locals in farm activities plowing, planting, or harvesting depending on the season. Descend into Punakha Valley, where you’ll visit the iconic Punakha Dzong, dramatically set between two rivers. In the afternoon, take a countryside walk through rice terraces to your farmhouse lodge, where you’ll enjoy a traditional cooking class followed by dinner with your hosts.

Day 8: Village Rituals & Farewell Blessings

Start your day with a visit to a small monastic school and join in the morning chanting. Later, hike through the village trails to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple blessed by the Divine Madman. Day 9: Return to Paro – Departure

Drive back to Paro in the morning, soaking in your final glimpses of Bhutanese countryside and Himalayan peaks. Depending on your flight time, you may visit a handicrafts bazaar for souvenirs.
